Drone & Laser Scanning

We fly drones and run 3D laser scanners to capture remote and hard-to-reach sites. You get point clouds, orthophotos, 3D surfaces and topographic surveys, all tied to real survey control.

What it covers

  • Drone LiDAR and photogrammetry
  • 3D laser scanning
  • Point clouds
  • Orthophotos
  • 3D surface models
  • Volumes
  • As-builts
  • Topographic surveys from scan data

Our 3D laser scanner has stood on a footbridge at Happy Isles in Yosemite.

One project ran from the top of Vernal Fall down to Lady Franklin Rock. It went through Happy Isles and along the road back to Curry Village. We captured the topographic survey with a 3D laser scanner.

We also fly drones. A drone flight gives you orthophotos and 3D surface models. On one remote job, we crossed an alpine lake by boat to recover old section corners. Then we flew a drone to make a 3D model and an orthophoto of the site.

Across an alpine lake

Forty remote acres in the high Sierra, reached by boat. We recovered the original section corners, solved the boundary, flew a drone topo with a 1-inch orthophoto, set corners and filed a record of survey.
